The X3 looks like beauty! That wood grain is a beautiful contrast to the clean, grill fabric.

Clayton, will the X5's amp mount on the back baffle as shown on the X3, or will it be mounted on the base plate as shown in some of the prototypes?

Thank you - Yes, the X5's amp will mount to the rear panel the same as in the X3.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the new M3 Sapphire and X5. With all the innovation in the X series, it's hard to resist.

Ideally it would be nice to hear them both, especially in your own room... but the X-5 is no doubt the better speaker.

I agree Wind Chaser, but the M3Ts I currently own are proof that even the more modestly priced Spatial's offer tremendous sound.

Are the speakers straight up and down?

The legs and spaced baffle design look fantastic.

Sumoking, pretty sure the X series stand vertically. The new M5 has some tilt to it.

I don't know if I missed it, but what are the in room specs for the passive/analog portion of this speaker? Can I use my 2 watt Decware Zen Triode amp with them (room size about 25' x 25' with 10' foot ceiling)?

OB bass is so much cleaner and easier to integrate in the room... should be able to dispense with the bass trap. Also think the WAF would be higher if the speakers remained in position without the ugly blue tape on the floor.

Love that the room gets less cluttered as a result of your design (ie, no sub & the bass trap can probably go, too). That NEVER happens with most audiophiles
