What's the best set up to hook up a Turntable to one of the Panasonic digital amps optical or coaxial ins? The analog ins seem uh lacking.
Can a standalone soundcard like the Creative Extigy do the trick?

I've never heard that card, but it sounds like the right idea. I'm using an M-Audio 2496 "Audiophile" card with excellent results.

I think you will get worse sound with an extigy. I have tried the ADC on that card, and it is very poor indeed.
