On the back or inside the helmet should have a label saying which model you bough, seems a old model would say an RF700.

The label inside should also have the manufacture date. The foam in the helmets lasts about 8 years according to Shoei, if I remember correctly.

Does it have a Snell rating?

My really old Kenny Roberts replica Shoei has a Snell 95 rating.  As in from 1995!

Most folks want a more up to date rated helmet.
