This is the Liberty Audio B2B-1 phono stage, which is the factory direct line of PBN Audio. The B2B-1 is essentially a stripped down circuit that Peter Noerbeck uses in the PBN Px and Pxi phono stages, which sell for $12,000 and $20,000. This is a wonderful sounding phono stage, with excellent low level detail resolution, nice tonal balance, recreates space in a recording nicely, and has some of the best bass response I ever heard in analog. For what it sells for, I know of no better phono stage at this price range, and its worth stepping up to from something like a Phenomena II.
Condition of this phono stage is excellent, as I am the original owner. Never been abused and has no operational issues. I did misplace one bolt to the access cover, but I plan a trip to the bolt store for a replacement. Have factory box and packing. No major scratches, dings, or other issues. This component has been well cared for, and not beat up.
This is an MM/MC capable unit. Capable of running LOMC cartridges down into the .18 mV range, as I have done this with various Dynavetors and Transfiguration cartridges. Loading adjustments are accomplished through jumpers that are located under an access cover on the top plate. In stereo mode inputs and output is accomplished through RCA jacks. If you buy two of them you can run them as mono blocks in differential balanced mode, which uses the XLR jacks you see on the back. But with one phono stage you are going to use the RCA jacks.
This is an awesome bang for the buck phono stage, and its capable of being used with upper tier gear. I used cartridge from ZYX, Koetsu, Transfiguration, Dynavector, Ortofon, and Shelter with this phono stage, and always had excellent sound. This is a Jfet design that Peter has optimized over the years. The chassis is solid, the power supply well shielded, and it’s a hand built product in the US. Can’t ask for much more at this price. It took a $6000 Esoteric eo3 phono stage to displace it, and still the Liberty is not embarrassed in the comparison.

Factory Direct Pricing $1995
Sell For $1100
