"Ultimate" stereo in movie "The Italian Job

Watching a DVD of "The Italian Job" and remembered this audio scene:
Seth Green is discussing what luxury to spend his millions on and comes up with "a NAD T770 with digital decoders and 70 watt amps and Burr-Brown Dee-Ay-Cees...speakers so loud they blow women's clothes off."

While the idea that a thief would spend his booty on a killer stereo is right, the writer clearly didn't understand hi-fi other than to drop a few audio buzz words.

Since when did Hollywood start getting technical terms correct?  That quote sounded pretty good compared to some of the engine or computer related stuff I've heard.

Yeah, after I put that Edelbrock hydroquad on the valvetrain, I knew I'd whip his ass. ;)

Does anyone say "Dee-Ay-Cee" for DAC?  I've always pronounced it "dack."
