New to Audio Circle

New to Audio Circle

I'm new to the group. I'm currently looking to replace my Aragon 8008BB amplifier that died recently. The left channel went out.

Current system is as follows:

KEF107 Loudspeakers
Signal cables
Emotiva XSP1 Preamp
TEAC NT503 DAC
ASUS Laptop running JRiver

What do have in mind, tubes, Class D or transistors?

Nice system (although I question the Emotiva preamp fitting in there). 

Any chance of finding someone to fix your Aragon?

I am looking at Solid State/ Transistor type. I'm considering:

BAT
Bryston
Odyssey

models at 200 watts or greater

I purchased the Aragon used about 15yrs ago. I would imagine it was several years old I purchased it. It likely needs to be recapped. I'm thinking the cost of recapping is more than the value of the amplifier. Since it is so old, I thought it would be best to replace it.

The Emotiva preamp is completely balanced unit. It is really transparent in my opinion. It also fit my budget at the time. It worked very well with the Aragon.
