I bought my B60 used. Had it not had 14 years of warranty left on it, I wouldn’t have bought it. Had Bryston not been the wonderful company they are who stand behind everything they put their name on, I would’ve bought something else. I remember when I was looking into buying it, I had the seller email me the serial number and manufacturing date code. I came here, PM’ed James, and got a great reply. Made my decision a no-brainer. No other company I know of does anything close to this.
My B60 is an original non-SST B60. Or at least it was

. A few years later I saw a thread here where James was discussing the upgrade possibilities from non-SST to SST. My particular B60 was in a gray area of being able to upgrade it or not, so he referred me to Mike Pickett. I spoke to Mike on the phone, and $125 and 2 weeks later, I had a B60 SST. What company does that? Mike informed me the new SST outputs would have a 20 year warranty, and the rest of the B60 would keep the remainder of the warranty (12 years at that point). Broken record here... what other company does that. My initial warranty will run out around October or so. If I have any problems after that I know it’ll be taken care of the right way by the right people and for the right price; not a “you need a new amp.” Again...
When I bought my B60, it was between a used B60 and a new Naim Nait 5i. I rolled the dice and bought the B60, and brought it to my Naim dealer who’s a fantastic guy. He let my listen to it side by side with the Nait. Both amps were great, but the B60 was better in every way. He had nothing but praise for James and company, and he wasn’t a Bryston dealer. He even advised keeping the B60 due to sound quality, build quality, and Bryston’s remarkable customer service. Not that Naim is a slouch in any of these areas by any means.
Once the house is paid off and my daughters’ college tuition is paid, I’ll buy a new Bryston pre amp and power amp. Until that day comes, which is quite a while away, my B60 will continue to be the great workhorse it’s always been.
Not sure if I’ve said it before or not, but thanks James & Company. Keep doing what you’ve always done. No one else does what you do nor as well as you do it. You guys (and gals) are what every company should strive to be.
