Hi...this may be a double post, sorry if it did.

Yeah I'm a bit of an old audiophile. Have five sets of speakers, Speakerlab and Klipsch, not counting the three Klipsch 2.1 Promedia speakers, two hooked to my computers and the other one, Bluetooth, installed in my shop. Have a Dynaco 416 amp and PAS 5 preamp, a Yamaha A-S801. I am axxx retentive about my stuff so don't run it down...smile...

Welcome to the sweet spot.

No judgment here; that's why there's a Vintage circle. However, did you know that Audio by Van Alstine can put a complete modern MOS-Fet circuit set right in your 416 that would make it competitive with modern amplifiers in the $5K range for $1299? I had one of their Dynaco rebuilds and it was fantastic; so if the old girl ever goes, all is not lost. Welcome; we aren't concerned here with how old you or your equipment are. Have fun on the boards!
