Subs with OB Transducers

Hello Everyone,
      I'm very interested in jumping ship to OB transducers. I understand that the wave launch characteristics may take some or much of the rooms effect out of the equation especially in near field listening.  I have also noticed that Spatial X2's are full range transducers but many listeners are using subs which also add low bass room boundary effects.
