was "Dogville" on the worst list because it was poorly done or because it was so avant-garde in its technique?? I didn't see it because of Ebert's scathing review, but I considered renting it just as a learning experience.
Seems to me it's differently "worse" than rather conventional movies like "Taxi" or "Stepford Wives"??
I'm not a big Lars Von Trier fan, but sorta admire his pushing the cinematic envelope (even if the result is a failure). I DO love "Breaking the Waves" but realize many would absolutely hate it.
