I’d like to use my ol’ appleTV w/ optical output to burn-in some hours on a new DAC with coax S/PDIF input (spare my CDP from spinning for a week strait), so I’m looking for a good converter to do this with... want a good one but would love a quick Amazon Prime order to get a movin’.
Or does it even matter here? Cheap conversion is a cheap conversion.

Look into the iFi SPDIF iPurifier it has coaxial and optical input with coaxial only output. Amazon or Music Direct for $150.00.

Any recommendations for a good Quality Toslink cables , and should they be glass or plastic Benchmark audio sells Toslink cables for about $ 50.00 and than Lifatac has glass Toslink cables , would appreciate a feed back from AC members

Glass is better than plastic...Wireworld and Lifatec have worked well for me.

thank you , just ordered two Lifatec glass toslinks one  with toslink mini plug to work with my apple Imac mini and toslink to toslink to work with my PS Audio Directstream DAC
