My vote goes to: YOR, the Hunter from the Future..

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084935/

Even after 20 years, I can't believe I wasted my allowance on this movie when I was younger.  Worst $2.50 I ever spent...

Great!  I figured eventually someone would call the AFI's #1 Best Film of all time "the Worst Movie in Human History"!

I don't know what the worst movie I ever saw before - that would take some real thought.  But I can tell you what movie made me the angriest:

"The Talented Mr Ripley"

I actually started screaming at the TV, I was so angry at Matt Damon's character.  I can't tell you how much I wanted hime to die a gruesome death.

God, I feel better just typing that last paragraph.  :D

Dark Man

I am sure there is worse, but that was the worst I ever saw in a theater.

Plan 9 From Outer Space - Cheapest POS ever. So cheap it's entertaining.
Robot Monster - The "Monster" is a guy in an ape suit with an old fashioned diver's helmet.
Glen or Glenda - Another Ed Wood spectacular.
Chained for Life - Semi-true autobiographical film starring the Hilton Sisters, a pair of Siamese twins.
The Terror of Tiny Town - An all-midget western.
The Maniac (1933) - A horrible exploitation film. One of the highlights is when the main charactor pokes a cat's eye out.
Alphaville - Still don't know what he hell that was about.
Island at the Top of the World - Even bad by Disney Standards. Stars David Hartman.
Jaws II
Exorcist II
Godfather III
Rocky V
The Sound of Music - What were they thinking?

"The Good Girl" with Jennifer Aniston.

Wife rented it and made me watch it.  Truly horrible!

It's actually worth watching. They ride around on little ponies and chase each other under furniture.

There are soooo many, but two recent ones (that all my kids agree on, as well, which is weird) are: Dana Carvey's piece of crap "Master of Disguise", and the Travolting "Battlefield Earth".   BTW, I actually liked Travolta's other two mentioned here, both John Woo films: Face/Off and Broken Arrow.

Tyson, what happened?
Did you start snorting or injecting the single malt now for quicker effect?
Or are you using it for alcohol enemas?

Of course, I'm sure you're joking.
"Citizen Kane" is so applicable, true, and relevant today it's frightening.
A true, timeless masterpiece...

I also think that CK is one of the most boring overrated films I've ever watched. I wouldn't call it the worst film but it was agonizing to watch.

I'm suprised no one has mentioned Disney's utterly foul Inspector Gadget. One of the few movies that I couldn't watch. I saw it on one of he HiDef channels about a year ago and could only take about 20 minutes of this.

Some of the B movie stinkers listed here are fun just because they are so bad. Plan 9 comes to mind, wow that was pretty bad but I enjoyed it anyway. Oddly enough I actually like NBK, perhaps because it's just so over the top and ridiculous.

Another vote for Battlefield Earth, what a piece of crap. I am overjoyed that I didn't see this in the theater as I would have been very pissed about paying for it.

How about "I Spit On Your Grave". I remember seeing this at a drive in when I was young and picked it up on DVD about 5 or 6 years ago. Wow, that was a mistake. Must have been the drugs or something when I was a teen. Really really bad.

For the time being, the movie I use as the measuring stick for truly awful movies is Wild Wild West with Wil Smith, Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh and Salma Hayak, all actors that I generally like.  The only possible redeeming feature is that quick shot of Salma's ass, which is always fine.  Otherwise, to paraphrase a comment I saw in a review of Thomas Harris' Hannibal, this movie is the cinematic equivalent of the filmmaker giving the audience the finger.

Lake Placid was a god-awful movie.  You know a movie is bad when the actors on screen actually look embarrassed.  And listening to that language come out of Betty White's mouth.  I think Bridget Fonda was banished after that one.

Speed 2.  Another one where the parties involved just seemed sorry to be inflicting it on the unsuspecting audience.

there are many that I've turned off the tv from that I cannot remember the title of. Too bad.

'Movie theater bad' -

Howard the Duck (yeah, I had a pretty open night to consider seeing this one.ugh)

More recently :
The One. (Jet Li)
Okay, I didn't expect much acting, but this one made me cringe.

Cold Creek Manor - just plain ugh
