I have a JL Audio 12w0v3-4 which I want to use for an OB sub. What amps are suitable for this purpose? From what I've read the amp needs a specific dampening factor to reach a desirable system Q, how do I calculate this? How many watts does this driver need?https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_39825_JL-Audio-12W0v3-4.html
If you are crossing at 120 you could use an H-frame, get a bit more output than a flat baffle
with H baffle you lost db for Hz not more output....
please tell this at MJK !H baffle will give you some more HZ down 4/5 maybe the trade off is DB
I'm telling you. Below 120hz, a H baffle will have more output than a flat baffle. The OP is looking for advice on OB, not incoherent nonsense
Isn't an H frame essentially an open baffle with long sides, 'cause I've read that having long baffle sides introduces pipe resonance.
YOU MUST STUDY A BIT ABOUT OB WORK QuoteFor a passive dipole...
For a passive dipole...
the OP woofer is low qts need more baffle
