Greetings all East Coast members.
As it stands right now, it looks like Response Audio NY will have a pair of Daedalus DA-1 loudspeakers just after Christmas. We have decided on a featured system for our new showroom that will be finished around the same time. Below is a short list of the main attractions.
Please keep in mind that Response Audio is an AUTHORIZED dealer for all products mentioned below.
** Daedalus DA-1 loudspeakers finished in Cherry
** Custom Reference Plus Jolida 801. This unit has the optional pre in / main out feature to double as a power amplifier for use with a high quality preamp of choice. The Reference 801 is quickly becoming our most popular exclusive product impressing even the most descriminating listeners. I feel this unit being feed by the preamp mentioned below should provide a steller performance.
AND
** Custom Signature Plus Jolida JD1000A tube amplifier with the same pre out / main in options. This unit will also have a custom built thick solid Cherry face plate and Black Walnut control knobs to perfectly offset the Daedalus speakers!!!
** ModWright SWL 9.0 linestage - Yes, we are an authorized dealer for Dan and the preamp will be available for audition and sale through both our New York and Chicago locations. So, for those who live on the East Coast and have been looking for a place to see and hear this unit....... your search is over!
** Our latest Jolida modified product..... the JD100 CD player with new output coupling capacitors that I can not yet even speak about. Leave it to us to offer a world debut on a new product. Stay tuned for more details on this.
** Vinyl playback will be through a Thorens table going into a modified Ming-Da tube phono stage and also Jolida's new stand alone JD9 phono stage!
** The rest of the system will contain various cabling from Clarity Labs, Audio Note, VH Audio, Jamn'n Audio and Star Sound Technologies.
** All components will be outfitted with Star Sound's Audio Points.
** Most components will be sitting within a modified Usher solid Birch equipment rack.
For those who are interested in stopping by for an audition, I hope to have everythng done and up and running by early January. I still have to lay the carpet in the room and figure out what to use for seating but this should not be a problem. I don't want to make it tooo comfortable as nobady will want to leave.
