Oh I see. My reasoning/estimation was the bracing was looked like it was taking up about one eighth volume (pure guess based on stacking heights), but then with all the holes cutting out maybe 60% of the bracing... it worked out to 5%
Do you know the cause of the 5000Hz peak? Is it a cabinet resonance? If I were to make a guess, it would be based on the alignment and sizes of the holes cut. 5kHz is roughly 68mm.
Project "J&N-2",Why and how should a beautiful project be changed at the outset? The problem is in the frequency of around 5000Hz; There is a peak ,which strongly influences the average frequencies. There are two ways to solve this problem:- Adding one more MW,-More complicated construction of the filter I don't know the exact name , maybe (reager). This project may be look beautiful, but will be changed. As I wrote at the beginning of my post, everything is done by me, I do not use ready filters / and I do not recommend it to anyone unless it is a ready-made kit with cabinets /.Will try to explain why this project is changed at the very beginning.
Dude; that is fucking awesome. Please share more.
Looks great, but why do you apply finish to the internal bracing? I assume no one will see it once the speaker is finished.
I like the shape it's taking. Was pretty much hoping it would end up like this.
I have an idea to make a new project to in the base there should be two 10" loudspeakers - just an idea. They look like animals, maybe dinosaurs/was mentioned in this post/, but important are 20Hz.
