Sacd ripping with oppo question
« on: 13 Nov 2016, 04:45 pm »
Hello all.
I have a number of dff files ripped from an oppo. There is no meta data in the files. I've been using easytag for metadata but it does not work on .dff files. What program can I use to add metadata to these files. Thanks in advance, pete

Not tried this (I have mostly dsf) but probably will at some point - https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=107493.0

Thanks Phil
It looks like I'll just need to change the dff files to dsf. Since Ive only just begun to rip sacds using the oppo it should be an easy fix.

Pete - In some instances I just took some dff files and used Foobar to convert them to 176kHz PCM too.  I don't use my Oppo players tons for file playback.  I have an old BDP-93 in the bedroom which feeds the outdoor speakers and I have a hard drive with files and I have a BDP-103D (actually two but the one in the main system is just for video) in a spare system with a hard drive attached (including 2 channel and multi-channel DSD files) but have also played files on it from my NAS.  When I get the new 4k Oppo in that spare system, I may use the 103D in the bedroom and then I just can play the files from the NAS (on the outdoor speakers) as I have lots of files.
