What do you guys think? After years and years of lugging around a big Nikon SLR, I am lusting after one of these types of camera.

Hi Randy, a few months ago I was also lusting after a new camera and decided to sell my
Nikon D90 DSLR and purchase a Sony a6000 with two kit lenses, the 18-55 and 55-210mm.
I work a lot so I haven’t used the camera that much but I find it’s size and weight to be a
real plus over the Nikon. The focusing system is very fast and takes beautiful pictures that
are sharp as a tack. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase..

Fuji X-T2 do great photos but are expensive and sensor lasts less(mirrorless).

Hey!

  I think it is more like Sony A6500 vs Fuji X-T2 or Sony RX 100V. If you want a camera that would fit in your shirt pocket than go for the RX100 V. If you want more lens option to expend on than A6500 or X-T2.

  As for A6500 or X-T2? I don't know, they both sound good. Although, I'm a Sony user... A7II as my main right now, I have to say I've seen pics from Fuji digital cams and they do have nice color that reminded me of their pro line of color film.

   Well, which ever feel right to you in your hand I guess.

To add to SET Man's differentiation.   Sony A6500 if you want video or the Fuji X-T2 if you want faster glass for stills.   The faster fuji glass does mean it will cost and weigh more.    I've been happy with my Fuji set up, but I would probably be just as happy with a GH4 or any camera that has a m-mount adapter.

Still looking but now leaning toward the Fuji X-T20, a slightly smaller version of the X-T2 and a slight decrease in overall quality. Reviews say 90% of the T2 performance at ⅔ the price or something like that. Would start with the 16 - 55 mm kit lens.

Just back from a visit to my brother and found that he recently got an X-T1, so surprised I was looking the same line of cameras one of which unknown to me he had gotten. He raves about it with the Fuji 90 mm lens which is about all he ever uses.
