I saw a pretty cool color awhile ago...it was called Attitude Black. Very nice for a black.

Nice work Ed! Sounds like a Vader theme with the black on black paint ensemble.  :thumb:

Hey guys. I have a set of Aurora ready for paint, a set of my prototype that I've dubbed the "VonOttos" (a personal friend of mine is purchasing the parts that we're using for this prototype, and his name is...you guessed it...Otto! Oh, and this first set is his!) ready for paint. I have 2 sticking points. 1) I don't like how my new stand/X-O plinth looks, and 2) taking consistent measurements for the new prototype X-O have been difficult. I'm frustrated, and living 750 miles or so from Ryan and Pete isn't helping. AARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
I guess if building great speakers were easy, everyone would be doing it, right? Thanks for the encouragement though.

I'm still working out the stand and x-o Seadogs. I hope to post some pics of a VonOtto on its stand soon!!! I'm planning a road trip to St. Louis next week to finalize this x-o.

attractive - kind of a Sonus Faber looking design. Better than previous stand mount designs.

Thanks guys! I really like how these look, too! Like I've said, the crossover will actually be in the bottom "foot" of this stand. After the x-o is tested I'm thinking about vacuum-potting the entire board with a dyed epoxy resin to keep the x-o safe from whatever might get in the back of a speaker stand.

Slick looking. A lot different than your first renderings.

It looks like this first set will be a hue of metallic copper. I don't know if the baffle will be the same color or not.

Beautiful Ed. I'm a big fan of copper/bronze gear. Can't wait to see them painted.
