IME they increase the sense of microdynamics, but have little effect on macrodynamics.

What impact, if any, do the Bybees make on micro and macro dynamics?

Since I have one with Bybees and one without at the moment, I checked last night specifically looking for differences in dynamics.  While there is a difference in sound due to midwoofer difference, I didn't hear any loss in macro dynamics with Bybees.  Due to more woomph in midbass, it sounds fuller but there is no loss in overall extension.  As Tyson, mentioned Bybeed speaker may actually sound "faster" in microdynamics because the musical tones are clearer and transients are more crisp.  At the same time, it doesn't strip away harmonic richness either.  Midbass and change in highpass frequency on the Neos may also have something to do with the change.  The bottom line is, I am going to install the Bybees in the other speaker this weekend.
