Or should I say, chili GAS recipe? :o  :flame:

Since so many guys wanted the recipe, I thought we might as well share it with WORLD!  So hear goes. Compliments of Gateway Audio Society. Proceed with caution.

GAS Chili

3 lb. ground turkey
7 (16 oz) cans of red beans
2 (14.5 oz) cans of stewed tomatoes
1 large onion chopped
2 (15 oz) cans of tomato sauce
3 packs of chili mix
Texas hot sauce (to taste) :tempted:
1 tbsp. sugar

Brown turkey in oil while warming other ingredients and drain. Then mix it all together and cook it for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Enjoy.

my god that is a awfull chilli recipe- turkey is for thanksgiving not chilli

this is a good one

1lb 95% lean beef
1lb ground hot sausage
1 large vidalia onion
2 green pepers
3 cloves garlic
i jar spaghetti sauce-plain
3 cans red kidney beans
4 cooked potatoes(cut up small chunks)
1lb shredded sharp chedar cheese
2 packs chili mix

there isnt a person who ever had my chilli and didnt like it- matter of fact i get offers for free tickets to tailgate for games if i bring it-
best of all a few guys from texas have told me its the best they ever had :!:

brown the beef  in chevada sauce(a spicey marinade)  and dont drain-
brown the sausage and drain-
add everything  and 1 cup water-(not the cheese)
cook on low for a hour and a 1/2-
refrigerate over night-
reheat   and add the cheese

Hey...I think they both sound good!!
steve's use of turkey is most likely lower in calorie's. A healthy subsititute for beef. :) [/list:u]
rosconey use of beef and sausage is more of a traditional recipe. 8) [/list:u]
I've even had chilli made with chicken that was very good. :) [/list:u]
But everyone knows....it's the "heat" your really looking for..... [/list:u]

I've not had turkey chili. Don't think I've had beef either.

Have had Elk, Moose, and Black Bear though. The bear was awesome! Elk is great as well, but the bear had a flavor that suited itself well to chili.

venison makes the best  imho-
one of my friends gets a doe every year and i get 2 lbs prime cut and dice into small chunks, fry2 bacon grease for a few minutes and dump everything into the pot-
either its used for the super bowl or ncaa hoops time.

I'm not too hip on the turkey, but I do like a white chile with chix.

I use beef and sometimes the sausage.  The best is wild game or even different cuts of beef cubed.  I always add shrooms, cumin, thyme.  Forget the hot sauce.  Get a few of every kind of hot peppers you can find, de-seed them, chop em or Oscar Jr. them, add a little vingar, minced garlic.  Add a little to the chili and save the rest for the side to add heat as desired.  Oh, and don't piss for two days after chopping hot peppers with a knife :!:

Well, Moose is like good beef.

Elk is close to the same taste, but a lot better. Elk is my favorite all around meat. Too bad it's such a bitch to get one.

Black Bear tastes more like spicy pork. Don't know how to describe it much better...

I'd imagine that Whitetail Deer would be great for chili as it's got a stronger flavor to it than Elk & especially Moose. Mule Deer would be ok I s'pose, but Mulies are just kinda blah compared to Whitetails.

I think we've started something here. A cooking circle is an excellent idea!

All these chili ideas sound wonderful to me but not for my paunch or my acid reflux! You young kids have your fun with yer hot chilis, I'll stick to something I don't pay for all night.   I can't do ground beef much anymore, turkey much better for me. These all sound great though. Keep em coming!

You forgot three main ingredients.

                                                More chilis

                                                Copious amount of alcohol

                                                 Good company
