All new production MS-3 Music Servers will come with MathAudio Room EQ installed with Foobar2000.  This will allow users to try room and speaker correction for two channel audio replay with any file played back with Foobar2000.

The Room EQ component in the DSP processing section has three modes, Measurement, Run and Bypass.  Measurement and Run are as expected from the name.  Bypass allows the user to hear the original system without the processing for direct comparisons to correction. 

For measurements, I recommend a Dayton Audio UMM-6 USB calibrated mic as it is very easy to get running with the system and make measurements of the room from the listening position with a user supplied mic stand or small tripod that comes with the mic kit.  Has a 15' USB cable to connect to the MS-3 for movement capabilities.  It is best to use a long video cable, like HDMI to remote the computer if needed to have the mic in the listening position.

Here is a screen capture of the Room EQ display in Foobar2000 on some DIY speakers.  Shows the measurement and corrected response for it's processing of the single position measurement I made.  It can average up to 20 measurements if the users has interest in a wider corrected area.

Will be using MathAudio Room EQ with The Megaliths open baffle planar arrays and servo subs to extend the response of the BG Neo10 planars until the BG Neo3-PDR tweeters are available. 

Measurement will start soon and see what happens.

Contacted Cross Spectrum Labs about their higher resolution calibration data for the Dayton Audio UMM-6 USB mic.  They will calibrate your mic for a reasonable fee at up to 3 angles. 

Waiting on shipping info to send one of my UMM-6's for calibration data.

The Cross Spectrum Labs calibration data arrived.  The mic is in the mail and should be here Monday.

Will be trying this with MathAudio Room EQ once everything has arrived.  The first measurement trials were very good.  Now to see what improvement happens.

Rich, Will you be using the MathAudio Room EQ at 2016 Capital Audiofest in your room with GT Audio Works? Can you demo with and without correction?

It will be there and setup.  It is an easy AB with their setup.  Not sure about level matching, but will check.

The Dayton Audio UMM-6 USB mic is back from CSL and will be using it with the high resolution calibration data with MathAudio Room EQ.

Will be using the 45 degree calibration data since the mic is pointing directly between the two Megaliths.

Just ran the Room EQ calibration and did some listening to Reference Recordings Exotic Dances and Saint-Seans Symphony #3.  Sounds very good indeed using the HAL MS-3 for RoomEQ and the dspMusik as the digital crossover for The Megaliths.

Will be giving Room EQ a try at CAF2016 and see how it does with the room setup.
