Seems there no written rules on how to handle situations like these. I'm not sure what the proper or classy move would be.
I've spoken to individuals "close", and since we're all a family here, it seems the proper thing to do is let everybody know about one of our own.

Ryan Scott, of Vapor Audio, received news this morning that his wife died in a hotel fire this morning.

I don't know you or your daughter but having a daughter and a wife I can't even imagine what this would be like for the both of you. I don't have the words but I am thinking about you with tears and a heavy heart right now and I'm so so sorry for your loss.

Ryan, it may be many days before you read this but keep in mind that your family extends far outside of what you may imagine. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel and I know feelings cannot express the hurt that is in your heart.

Thank you all, I love you all. Please just hug your children, and kiss your wife today. Take a minute to make them know what they mean to you. Heather being gone leave me a shell of a man, I just pray that she knows how very happy she made me.
