A P.I. Audio Mini-Buss filtered extension (from P.I. Audio:
"Parallel HF filtering w/ no MOVs to degrade the sound. Loaded with RFI absorbing material and lined with ERS cloth.") with 3 Pass & Seymour cryo'd 5362 duplex outlets. Gold plated Furutech IEC.

I'm the original owner and have moved up the P.I. Audio line. The Mini-Buss did not negatively affect the sound of my front end (computer, AR-T Legato USB-SPDIF Converter, EE DAC+) at all but rather lowered the noise floor noticeably.

Plugging in my integrated amp only reduced dynamics very slightly. I had no problem listening with the amp plugged into the Mini-Buss, as I did during the thunderstorm season here in FL, allowing my system to be disconnected from the wall via just one power cord.

That was fast!  Michael, you don't mess around.  I totally understand, P.I. Audio products get snapped up pretty quick around here.

There was smoke rising off the keyboard. 

Alas, poor Aldcoll will not see this unit. It's going to be sent back to Dave of PI Audio for tweaking. I will pick it up there because my wife and I will be in Albuquerque from mid-May until mid-June.

Well, believe it or not, I don't know for certain. Dave may not be sure yet either, but he's got some ideas he wants to try.

That must sound odd, but he and I had a related discussion about a year ago where I was looking for something like a MiniBUSS on steroids sort of thing. He'll try them out and present the changes while I'm visiting. Should prove interesting.
