Yeah, why does a machine need a name anyway? 

Coming up with all these names reminds me of naming paint colors or medications.  What are those guys drinking, shooting, sniffing, etc.? 

Several months ago heard a interview on NPR from a consultant who's profession was to name drugs.  He said their goal was to come up with a name that was easy to pronounce/spell/remember.  Really??

How about "Powered Ranger" (to get around potential trade mark issues) or "Powered Rockit"!

Couldn't think of another name that could possibly add any more confusion to the lineup!

SongBird and BirdSong?

I do not get this reference. Klas is Salk spelled backwards, and is meant to reference class, as in 1st class or classy.
