Thanks Rob. I am still impressed when I hear evidence of that dynamic range capability in the Alnico Monitors. Even with things like jazz vocals, there are times when I swear I can tell when the singer moves closer to the mike, thwacks of the upright bass, emphasized strikes on the piano - they are all like I've never heard before.

Peter you and Rob are killing me with posts like these as I'm still waiting on my Alnicos to ship. Louis says hopefully by the end of the month. The good news is that my Skylan stands have already been shipped and I will get them next week.
My Jupiter Copper caps and UFO transformers continue to burn in nicely. Last night, the sound that I heard was indescribable......its the pure essence of low power SET coupled to a single driver speaker( my Super3XRS). I can't imagine what those Alnicos will sound like on those Skylan stands.
