'' SHOCKING ! ''

:(  :o  :?

Amazon.com (USA) sell the 1lb bottle
of NOW Foods Better Stevia Organic extract powder for:
58.99 USD
and
Amazon.ca sell exactly the same bottle for
314.40 CND$
Yes, no typing error !
Did I see correctly
or do I need to renew my reading glasses ????
I understand that the Canadian Dollar is about 30% lower than the USD
and then custom tax, maybe 25 - 45% but still...
We are talking about more than five (05) time the price.
So, what do you think ?
I will ask my wife's nephew in Seattle to buy for me
and to give to someone going on planet Vietnam
when I am back in a few months.

You may be looking at a different seller on Amazon.ca

Now Better Stevia - Zero Calorie Sweetener (Certified Organic) 1 lbs - CDN$93.97
http://www.amazon.ca/Now-Better-Stevia-Sweetener-Certified/dp/B000MGWIH0/ref=sr_1_1/178-9950633-5483511?ie=UTF8&qid=1455210059&sr=8-1&keywords=NOW+better+stevia

Still about 14% higher, but there is no shortage of shady Amazon sellers (Canadian and US) dropping a line in the water to see if they can hook a fish at 3, 4 or 5 times the going price!  Be sure to check all sellers of the item!

Hi Steve,
well, what you wrote makes sense.
I will make sure I will double and triple check who's the seller.
Thanks for your link, that makes a lot more sense.
You really need to be almost an expert to shop on line,
Amazon and any others....

Thanks again.

Hi FullRangeMan,
I don't know who told you that,
but I am sure that 5% is not applicable
to most of the products imported to Canada.

Today I had an appointment with an ophtalmologist at 11.30am
and got to see him at 1pm, long wait, lots of people...
If I went to see an ophtalmologist,
it's on the recommendation of my family doctor that said I should
get a follow-up because I am diabetic type 2.
Result of the exam ?
I'm good, no damage to my eyesight due to diabetes type 2.
Sometimes you need some good news...

Hi all,
if I am posting this link about apple cider vinegar
it's because I belive in the benefit of that product.
It's also inexpensive, if not bio-organic.
4.50 CND$ for 4 lit.
I use one tea spoon with a few drops of pure virgin olive oil
and apple juice, total is half a glass each morning,
so very few calories.

A couple of health related reports.  One is news on a simple blood test the Brit's have developed that will indicate any genetic heart and circulation  problems  http://www.cnbc.com/2016/02/19/heart-condition-breakthrough-hailed.html  The second is a published research study that found no relationship with eating cholesterol rich foods and poor health  https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/02/160211083044.htm   Just thought you and others who are health conscious might find these of interest.  Bon apetite' !

Hi weatherman1
and thank you for the two links.
The second one about cholesterol is of great interest to me.
I had my body cholesterol level checked many times in the past years
and it's within the normal average.
By the way, I eat one hard boiled egg a day...
Because it's a good source of protein and it taste good to me.

If you have more stuff like that, please post,
very few AudioCircle members contribute to this topic,
maybe, because they are all in good health,
well then,
share with us how you do it.

Egg related chuckle...

Hi FullRangeMan,
the list of ingredients mentionned was taken from a Yahoo article
and is for any country.
The humidity is worst than heat, of course a combination of the two
being too high is even worst.
Bread has never been a type of food with a long life...
Another factor to consider is sun light and of course
everything should be hermetically sealed
for longer conservation time.

Hi FullRangeMan,
canned food might be dead for you,
but not all canned food are bad.
The only thing some experts recommend is to avoid
fruits and vegetables that are acidic and some (Made in China)
thin cans that the linning contain chemical.

Guy 13

I don't know what you are eating and what your diet is,
but sure look like the only food you think it's good is natural grass...  :D
