I tell my wife I'm a 'hobbyist', but I'm not sure how much longer she's going to believe that. 
Well, you can always reinforce your position by casually talking about more extreme hobbies you're interested in (actually not interested in), if you (actually she) gets tired of audio. There's always base jumping, motorcycle racing, etc. etc. You'd only need to be concerned if she begins encouraging your "interest" in these other hobbies while she makes life insurance policy shopping her new hobby.
