Hey all. One of the slabs on the side of my house has been raised over the years from tree roots. As you can probably see from the picture it now slopes toward the side of my house. When it rains it pools up a few inches deep and sits against the side of the house. Within the next year we are going to rip out the problem slab and redo it, but with El Nino coming, I'm looking for interim suggestions to help with the pooling issue. Any input would be appreciated.[/quoteProbably the last thing you want to hear, but the best solution is to bite the bullet and remove / replace ASAP. I doubt you'll find a contractor that would attempt to jack up a compromised/cracked piece of concrete. Cheaper in the long run to do the permanent fix. The only temp solution I see might be to build up the area with gravel/AB and cover and seal with a thick sheet of plastic. Good luck.
