Likewise, Louis used to dampen both the backplate and the basket of the fostex drivers, but now only dampens the legs of the basket.  Perhaps the new baskets are less resonant?

The putty around the base of the magnet may adversely affect motor cooling.

Thanks Rob. I opted to not use the Mortite there for the same reason...

The putty around the base of the magnet may adversely affect motor cooling.

Only a real issue with neo magnets.
