The following is quote from Michael Fremer concerning the death of Bud Fried:
Audio great Irving M. Fried passed away yesterday (March 31st). For those of us who attended hi-fi shows during the 1970s and 1980s, Fried's loudspeaker displays were always memorable. A no-nonsense kind of music lover/audiophile, Fried happily went against the latest trends, displaying a full line of loudspeakers in a single room, all connected with lamp cord to a multi-speaker switcher. Fried always got good sound in his rooms, despite the handicaps of having miles of lamp cord, a switcher and the line up of a dozen or so speakers on a wall. Music was the driving force in Mr. Fried's hardware passion, and he always had something worthwhile to play for us—always.
I think you folks have a lot to think about when it comes to speaker wire as does Michael Fremer.
