It seems to me that if the wire is just garden variety copper and it doesn't have any special geometry or covering then just about any similar wire would be equivalent. This reminds of the White Lightning Moonshine fad of a few years ago in which you'd useWoods Yard Master Patio Cord from from Walmart for speaker cables. I tried those and they did work well but not spectacularly in my system. They were cheap though. Since you apparently haven't heard the WE 16 ga, your speculations are not constructive.
