Lipinski L-150 Sub 995... Sold

Sold.

"This time we limited ourselves to pure monitoring of finished productions, since the Lipinski set made its class unequivocally clear already in the first minutes of the test. The L-707 pair together with subwoofer support supplied breathtakingly exact stereo image and a sensationally deep insight into all spatial information. The subwoofer itself with its closed design belongs to the best that my ears ever had the opportunity to experience; it is very dynamic with precise response to impulse-like input and it is extremely clean even down to the lowest frequency."
Fritz Fey, Studio Magazine, Germany

At the risk of sounding trite (my high school English teacher would be aghast) I feel as if I found a "new lease on life."  The L-707s and L-150G just "disappear" in the soundstage. Imaging extends way beyond the boundaries of the speakers; instruments have palpability that is downright spooky at times. I can more easily discern incremental changes in equalization and effects processing now. We immediately purchased the entire package.  There are few things more impressive to me than making a skeptic into a believer. Consider me an evangelist for the Lipinski Sound phenomenon.

Lipinski 15" Passive Subwoofer, with Dual Voice Coils in Parallel, in black and with VERY light use.

Purchased directly from Lipinski  and used with Lipinski 707s probably about an hour per month and never at high volumes.  Includes Brass Isolation Cones/Feet and fully padded carrying case.  Note the dimensions of this L 150 are 18" X 18" X 14" - I believe Lipinski now uses a deeper 18-19" depth on the L 150 with the same drivers and structure.

The driver and cabinet are in excellent condition with one exception: the paint finish on the back panel has several thin cracks as I've tried to show in the photos. This does not effect the performance in any way and could probably be fixed easily, but I never bothered since it can't be seen except in the back of the sub. (Interestingly the back panel of my 707s had the same finish issues also when I received them).  The sides, top, and front of the cabinet and the driver are in excellent condition 8 or 9/10 - same as with my Lipinski monitors it only effects the back panel.

From Lipinski:

* A double-wall sealed enclosure tuned for the best impulse response.
* Internal enclosure of cylindrical shape made of a dense cellulose tube. Just as in the case of a submarine, a "cigar-like" shape can resist much higher pressure than a rectangular shape. In addition, due to this shape there are no standing waves.
* External enclosure of 13/16" (20mm) MDF. Dual layer, pyramid-shaped back wall to prevent any possible resonance.
* Specially selected 15" woofer with dual voice coils working in parallel deliver a much better damping factor - a key parameter for a subwoofer.
* Dual, all brass, gold plated posts, accept banana plugs or up to 1 AWG wires.
* Filled with Belgian foam that is custom designed for cell size and density, for highest precision and bass extension.

1,149    1049 or best offer (original msrp $2,500).  Buyer pays for shipping of choice and any paypal fees if used.  Free pickup in washington dc area.  Thanks for looking!  feedback at audiogon under fly_fish_nz
