Just calling em like I see 'em bruh. On a positive note the film definitely makes me want to read the book it is, er, loosely based on.
But one last complaint (probably not): casting BC was clever but manipulative in that he has a very unusual look that I think plays into the emotionally stunted genius shtick. Look up Turing on Google Images though and you find that he was actually a pretty handsome dude. In fact I would say the actor who played his 'foil' on the team, Hugh(?), looks more like Turing than BC. I think an actor like that would have been a much more interesting exercise in contrasts.
To me the movie is just riddled with shortcuts like that. Moments and acting and choices that stand for familiar tropes and makes no effort to flesh them out.
