This was an experimental "mule" to evaluate the potential of Zilch's Econowave concept. We started with the basic econowave with the big square QSC horn, Deltalite woofers and a large ported cabinet. Gradually it evolved to SEOS12 with Radian CD, sealed AE TD12H, active crossover, etc. It was a fun project but now it's over and these are too big to keep, but are they too good to toss? You decide!
The cabinet is built with Purebond formaldehyde-free hardwood plywood, braced with diagonal battens and some cross bracing, lined with bitumen for anti-resonance. Ready for SEOS 12 horn, and most standard 12" woofers. Interior is lined with FG. Sealed woofer chamber about 2 cu. ft. iirc. The ports you see in the picture are now covered by a wood panel, and a interior floor is installed to reduce the woofer volume. Box panels are mitered. Horn baffle is extended for better acoustic center Z alignment, the edges are chamfered. Unfinished wood with some easily fixable minor blemishes.
