Indeed, an extremely profound painting. Can not help but feel that many Vets would be and are disillusioned by the direction of this most apathetic society that is slowly consuming what once was a great nation.

Let's not go there. The west is too self-serving and arrogant to admit the historal mistakes they've made. Mistakes that cost lives and caused tragedy and poverty beyond belief. I was fortubate but many of my friends weren't so lucky and I don't like apathy. This is really not the subject for discussion on a forum like this because that is all one can expect - apathy.

It can't be denied that our cherished freedom was paid for by a horrendous cost on all sides. This picture seems to act as a reminder to appreciate these liberties we now enjoy and not to take things for granted.........".lest we forget" .
