A truly outstanding, rare SA-50 mkIII in black that I will regret selling (to fund another endeavor). This trumps all of the pass XA.5 amps - in my system with fairly efficient speakers. Class A/AB switchable.
A biasing and general service was performed by Vince Galbo in NY - per Plinius HQ in August 2014. Vince is the Plinius go to guy in the states and said everything was still within spec, then reset the bias even closer and sealed the bias set screws for further stability. A brand new faceplate was also fabricated by Plinius recently in New Zealand, shipped and installed on this unit. I have all the paperwork. I am the second owner, however the unit is mint - audiogon grade 9+. Original owners manual, power cord and packaging is included. This is a true mkIII.....not an upgraded unit.
This amp is a steel fist inside a velvet glove. Low end authority that's amazing, with mid range and highs...all while being very natural and organic sounding. A truly phenomenal amp.
