Also you run the software to check the PC/laptop system latency, it should be around 300mS or less, the software is called DPC latency checker, after checking you can close it. Do a search you can find it.
JRiver 19, OS=Win 2012 R2 Core Mode, with Phil's AO 1.30 and JPlay 5.2.1 in UltraStreamI had a very stripped down version of Win 8 & 8.1, and for my tastes, with my rig, in my room, the sound quality/playback from 2012 R2 Core Mode, and other associated software I noted is definitely better in regards to sound quality (musicality), sound stage, frequency extremes, instrument delineation, vocals, etc.. Just my opinion - your mileage may vary
Good morning,I too am having problems getting mc20 to run though mc19 runs fine. I downloaded build 22 of mc20 this morning and couldn't get my oppo 103 to show up in the playing now area much less get it to play. As with others in this thread, mc20 works fine running from the computer but I'm not getting anywhere with dlna. The information I've received previously from the forum didn't resolve previous attempts. You can see the thread below:http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=91427.0I'd appreciate any suggestions as I would like to get started with mc20.Thanks in advance.Mike
I have never noticed a problem with 18, 19 or 20. I have Windows 7 Professional on the PC and a stripped down version of Windows 8 on the music server.
I have issues all the time with MC19 running on a box with Win Server 2012 and audiophile optimizer. Often, when I try to play something (usually through jremote) it just hangs. The only way to recover the system is to reboot. A friend of mine is running MC19 on a win 7 box and he has the same issue.
Are your music files on board an intenal hard drive, or external drive?I'm having hang & crash issues as well, both with MC19 and now MC20. I suspect mine is due to some connectivity and security issues with my Synology NAS. If I drag files on to the internal SSD, it appears to work fine, but not with all file formats. I need to look into the crash log files it generates next.
My suggestion is get a backup copy of mc19. Then uninstall mc19 completely, try to install mc20, this I think should work.
That's my exact scenario. My files are on a synology NAS. I know it takes a couple seconds for the NAS to wake up, but then it should be fine. What I find is that MC19 never connects unless I reboot. I guess I could try accessing the NAS from a computer to wake it up and then going into MC19.
