French cleats
« on: 16 Sep 2014, 02:24 pm »
Hi.
Would it be possible to use the french cleats to install tri traps into a wall-ceiling corner? If so, could you explain how to go about that? If its not possible to use french cleats, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You mean horizontal, in the ceiling corner? No, you wouldn't want to do that. Too much stress would be pulling away from the wall, instead of downwards. However they can be hung up using other angled brackets. One of our customers did a pretty good install with TriTraps in the ceiling corners in his studio that you can check out here: http://www.gikacoustics.com/client-spotlight/mike-plas/
