Yeah, the Eagles looked like world beaters today, but Seattle looks very tough tonight and the Eagles get them next.  After that game they get Dallas at home, a tough stretch to stay healthy and focused.  If they make it through these three games 2-1 the East is theirs for the taking.

Yep, Philly gave Dallas a beat down, and the game wasn't as close as the 33-10 score.  The Eagles looked as sharp as the Cowboys looked tired.  There was no doubt which was the better team today.

Headline:  The Eagles wins the NFC East.  The Cowboys looked just like the Cowboys of old* and they will likely win no more than two of their remaining schedule.  I expect the Eagles will win three and finish on top.  Dallas' O line has looked great but not yesterday.  Ya gotta take yer hat off to the Eagles coach.  He's got his team looking like a whirling dervish out there and turned Romo back into the Romo we know so well.  And Sanchez is very good.  Who knew.  Happy for him.  New York was a disaster for him.

For some reason the Eagles pass rush seems to be a big secret to all of the network pundits.  They've been crushing opposing qb's all season.  What really showed up as a crippling deficit was the Dallas d-line.  The Eagles offensive line handled them for the entire game both in pass and run blocking, allowing Philly to dictate the play calling.  Both teams have talented play makers at the skill positions, but winning the war of the big uglies decided the game, as it usually does in the NFL.

I hope Mark Sanchez wins the Super Bowl on the same day that Rex Ryan is fired by the Jets. Not likely that the Jets will wait that long though. Also not too likely that ole ButtFumble even plays in that game.

Remarkable how New Orleans has fallen apart.  I know I was shocked when they let Sproles get away.  Salary cap I heard.  Dunno how all that works but if I'm the coach or the GM I'm keep him if at all possible.  Yeah, Mj, Rex is doing about as well as Rob.  Doesn't look good.

It turns out that my wife's 60th birthday party coincides to the minute with the kickoff of Green Bay vs. New England. The baddest, most interesting contest of the whole season --- and I have to misfits of it. And what's worse, after everybody leaves and I can settle in to my couch potato comfort zone, my Broncos are going to become a Wild Card team tonight.

Anyone wondering who is the best QB in the game got the answer today, loud and clear, from Aaron Rodgers. Tom Brady is good but he came up short against the best today.  Where are all of New England fans? Do you guys only show up when your team wins home games?

Okay, I'm still super angry that Captain Hoodie didn't give Blount more carries because it screwed up my fantasy team this week.  At least Lafell had a good game. Blount is a monster and looked good during the little time he spent on the field. He's the best runner on that team.  Maybe the result would have been different if he had more carries!

I like your math!  If Gronk makes the catch, Brady is a genius. If he misses, it's not Brady's fault...

Brady is good and he was great when he was young. Every GM in the league would take Rodgers over Brady. Brady can't scramble to save his life but he can hit wide open receivers when he has all day to throw. He benefitted greatly by being in a great system with a genius coach. Nothing wrong with that but he is a few notches below Manning and Rodgers.

You make it sound like the game was a blowout. The Pats defense adjusted very well to the god like Rodgers in the second half. Anyway, who here ever said Brady is currently better then the younger Rodgers?
Also, Rodgers had a 0.3% better completion percentage and 10 point better QB rating. Yeah, that's a landslide.
Again, 0/4 on 3rd down conversions in the Redzone. God like.

Ten point QB rating is pretty significant. Brady had his time and is still very good. I was just pointing out there is a new sheriff in town.

Rodgers had a receiver drop a sure td in the red zone as well. You must give credit to the Pats red zone defense- it wasn't Rodgers poor red zone play but rather excellent defense.

Otherwise, Rodgers played circles around Brady and the Pats. The score could easily have been 40-21. Packers went up and down the field almost at will nearly the whole game. It wasn't as close as the score would seem to indicate...

Rodgers is the odds on fav for MVP....

Manning and Rodgers together could maybe drag Brady's jock strap about two feet.   Manning is a regular season wonder that predictably wilts in the clutch.  He's a video game QB when there's nothing at stake.  Brady has about as many SB wins as Rodgers has playoff wins!  Every year the Pats axe everyone that makes more than minimum wage yet Brady just keeps 'em chugging along.  Certainly the Pack have a better receiving corps (vs the nobody's that Brady turns into stars every year) and a great home field advantage at BG.  But save your Viagra til the playoffs.

I agree Brady was a great player, ten years ago when he won his last Super Bowl. He also benefitted from playing in a great system. He is an accurate passer and follows direction well. He has one more ring than Rothlesberger and has probably won his last one.

Saying those other greats can't carry his jock is ludicrous.  When he retires, the next guy is going to be just as "great" playing for the best coach of all time.
