Well, then I must have a noise problem in my system. When compared to a even a entry level DAC like the Benchmark Media DAC1 the SP1.7 does not perform to well with my computer on Toslink as the source. Not bad but certainly not dead quiet like the DAC1.
I rather doubt whether a power cable upgrade will lift it to that level for 2 channel.
