Do you think you will be coming out with another headphone kit any time soon?  If so, I request a fully balanced model and one that can drive hard to drive  cans.

That doesn't seem so difficult.  Unless you're trying to use a cathode follower, which would not be particularly clever.  Heck, my CASTANET easily drove 32 ohmers.

OK.  So what are the options?

Maybe something that borrows pieces of the CASTANET.  It was an expensive assortment of parts, though.  Will require some re-thinking for getting the cost down to where a DIYer would want it.

What about moving away from parafeed (and costs associated with the iron) and looking into a little direct-coupled push-pull OTL specifically for headphones. 6c19pi?

I'm not sure how to get impedance low enough with OTL without resorting to feedback.  A 6080 tube in parallel maybe.  Just doesn't feel right to me.  I'll have to think about it.
