Hey!

   Oh! No! Not Ken Rockwell!

I'm sure he already ordered one.

Take care,

The Nikon D810 appears to be an incredible camera. I'd love to own one someday.

Hm, the kit with three lenses is unusual.

I'm finding mirrorless works better for my needs/style these days. (Tripod, manual focus, often low-ish light, odd angles.) I can still use my Nikon lenses.

I currently own a Nikon D800 purchased about 4 months ago and it takes excellent photos.  I am definitely going to skip this iteration.  One extra FPS in FF mode, a slight increase in ISO performance, and group AF is not enough to justify a $3300 cost.  My next full frame camera purchase will be:

1) 8 FPS
2) 36 MP
3) Autofocus sensors that cover more than the DX (cropped) section of the sensor.  Would love to see Nikon release a camera where the AF sensors cover a 1.2 crop of the entire sensor.

Eventually it will be made.
