Shoulda got one of these a long time ago...  :duh:





Maximum magnification around 4.5:1 with a 45mm lens:



If nothing else, the above image proves that this is more difficult than it might at first seem... I need to try again and see if I can get a sharp photo with that lens. This next one is using the 75-150mm zoom and looks much better, say 2.5:1 magnification now:



Observations so far... the front "standard" has shift and swing but so far I haven't been able to make useful use of it. Also, it seems only some lenses will actually work. The 35/2 Ai-s doesn't seem to work very well as you have to put the front of the lens almost on the subject even at minimum magnification. The PC 85/2.8 won't mount at all, which is sad :( :(

On the plus side, it's a nice piece of kit and the inbuilt focusing rail adjuster is a real bonus. Further experiments warranted...
