Dave, thanks for all the work you did to make the Audio Jumble such a success.  I had people ask about when we would do it again and how they could take part.  There is strong interest doing another one.  Have Liam give you a pat on the back from all of us.  Kent

Wow, what a great event  With all the crap I took, I only came back with one pair of vintage speakers...and quite honestly, it was the only pair that I really didn't want to sell so I guess that was an omen.

I gave lots of people screamin' deals on gear. Sure, I could have gotten more but what the heck, it was time to pass a bunch of stuff on to people that will actually do something with it and appreciate the vintage goodness of the gear. Good audio Karma all the way around     I think Blackmore was the first to sellout at about 10:30 or 11:00. I was down to nothing (or thereabouts) around noon.

And I was a really good boy today too. I only came home with one set of speakers (the ADS L780s...super yummie especially driven by some 211 goodness), one garage amp (a vintage Rotel integrated) and Kents old HH Scott LK99 mono amp...well I may have brought home a Denon DL110 cartridge and a few (20) preamp tubes I got from Willie, but NO MORE, I promise 

It was s great time. Lots of tire kickers but at my table(s), lots of buyers. If we get a few more sellers and a few more people spreading the word, this could turn into one heck of an event.

The highlight of my day was turning a youngling onto tubes. The guys name was John. He'd never played with anything tubed before. I ended up cutting him one heck of a deal on the little Chinese Xaing Sheng tubed preamp. I walked him through upgrading the tubes to something a little better than the stock tubes via TheTubeStore.com. Right now I imagine he's rediscovering his entire music collection, just elated with his first tube gear purchase replacing his vintage Pioneer preamp.
Hopefully, lots of good Karma on that transaction.

You slackers out there missed a good time AND a chance to thin down your herds

Thanks, guys. Some things unraveled a little with the weather, some things went completely out of control, but everyone pitched in and helped one another. It ended up being a rousing cornucopia of selling and buying for everyone but Matt, so I say two thumbs up!

All of you really pulled together to make it a success, so thanks to everyone for a great team effort.

Uh, Bob, Marantz units of the 70s were ALL blue lights.   

And the pictures don't do it justice.  A lot of gear had disappeared by the time the cameras came out.  There was a CRAPLOAD of neat stuff at the beginning!

Yea, it looked like the banana boats were getting offloaded in Jamaica, there was so much gear.

We are talking cars and SUVs that were so fully loaded, you couldn't slide a ten dollar bill in the back. 

If you opened a door, a speaker would jump out.

And my wife was so excited I was selling stuff, she stayed the entire time to help. Watch out Steve, I'll tell Jean what she can do next time around.
