Worst movies ever seen.

I can't believe this unspeakable dreck is running over 90% on Rotten Tomatos! It's literally the stupidest film I've ever seen, and I've seen Click!

Lego is stupid funny. And the funny tops the stupid by a good margin.
They actually count on the stupidity making it even funnier.
And it works (though some of the sight gags and puns are a one time only and would get boring if they reuse them in the for certain sequel)

I don't know if it has leasting value. But as far as a one time funny.. It is pretty good.
So i am in the YES column for Lego The Movie.

Yeah, I realize I'm in the minority on this one. I had to go to page two of the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes to find a negative word about the film. Mostly I thought it was just stupid stupid as opposed to stupid funny. Most of the humor is just name dropping better movies. Beyond that it's just an extended commercial for toys.

The effects were either amazing or horrible, depending on your point of view. I guess everything really did look like Legos, which presumably was the point. The voice cast was uniformly great; that's about the only thing I liked about it. Liam Neeson even made something of the pathetic character he was given. Compared to this though I'd rather see him fight another pack of wolves.

I think it's doing a bang-up business in the States; it finally dropped out of 1st place three weeks into its run (knocked down a spot by Liam Neeson's newest movie- he's been busy!).

I have little doubt that most people will love it. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 96% positive. But I hated Silver Linings Playbook too and walked out of it, so my tastes don't align with the norm sometimes.

Loved it!! The wife enjoyed it too , as did my daughter as did my father in law.
I saw it in 3d . I thought it was one if the best 3d animated movies that I have seen.

I've never seen Archer. For the last eight or nine years I haven't owned a television set. But I did just buy one recently, got it mounted on the wall a week ago. So far I've only had it turned on for fifteen minutes. I haven't had cable in at least 10 years. In the past if a tv show looked interesting I'd buy the DVDs; now I will generally watch a stream or download. That said there's only about 10-12 shows in the last decade that I've watched/followed. Just haven't watched TV much since I was a youngster.

We got rid of cable ourselves. Everything I watch is either Netflix, Hulu (tons of Criterion movies there), or DVD's/Bluray's from the Library or Redbox. Archer is on Netflx.

Guess I just expected too much. Rotten Tomatoes had it at 96% or something, expected it to be amazing. In retrospect it had some funny parts and the voice acting was good but the overall effort fell flat for me.

So how were you watching DVDs with no TV? Just on the computer?

Yeah, there are a few shows I watch on my PC. For a long time I had a projector, also not hooked up to cable or any kind of TV, but the last 8 years or so I haven't had that hooked up. Guess time flies. I'm finishing up the last few classes for my bachelor's degree in business administration and working full time; that doesn't leave all that much time for watching TV. Or at least it pushed TV waaaaaay down my priority list for using my free time. Guess that's one reason I go to the theater almost every week. It's my "release" and something I look forward to.

My new 50" flat screen is mounted and hooked up to my system but so far I've only had it turned on just briefly to set everything up. I have to get used to having one, I tend to forget it's there.

My computer rig is pretty nice. I've got a 22" widescreen Viewsonic monitor and the sound is running to a USB-LINK DAC which feeds an NAD C320BEE integrated. That drives a pair of Monitor Audio Gold Ref 10 speakers.
