Are there SACD DVD's? Will the new Blu-ray disc have both hi rez multichannel audio AND video?

SACD is audio only, don't expect to see video on an SACD disk anytime soon. DVD-A does have video as part of the specification.

I expect that all HD-DVD players, regardless of the technology eventually adopted, will be able to playback all the older formats, be it CD, DVD, SACD or DVD-A.

I believe SACD can also be implemented for video.  In some of the SACDs I purchased, there's booklet from Sony/Philips that's included technical info on SACD....and video/graphics is in part of the specifications.

SACD, for now, is audio only.  There was some talk last year, 9/2003, about the coming of SACD II which would have video capabilities.  In that announcement it also indicated that SACD II would not be retrofitted to 'regular' SACD meaning that anyone owning an SACD II player would not be able to play their 'regular' SACD discs on them.  That article/announcment made it seem that SACD II was imminent but now that a year has come, nothing has materialized.  SONY also wanted to introduce this technology because of growing concerns of the potential pirating of the software.

I guess, stay tuned.

DVD-A is part of the specification of the HD-DVD from Toshiba and NEC. I can hardly wait for it to happen. Dolby Digital and DTS blow.
