I have for sale a recently built pair of AV123 X-LS Encore monitor speakers using Parts Express .5 cu-ft cabinets in beautiful high gloss piano black finish. Also, the component parts kit to build these speakers was purchased from Danny Richie of GR Research who designed the X-LS Encores. . These speakers have been performance upgraded with premium Sonicap capacitors and Mills resistors in the crossover networks. Also, the cabinet interior walls have been lined with No-Rez for cabinet resonance control and sound damping. These upgrades cost more but are well worth the increased level of performance they provide. Efficiency is 87 Db/1 M/1 W and impedance is 8 ohms.

 These speakers sound amazing good on all types music from jazz and rock to classical. Sound quality is very clean, open, and transparent with excellent sound stage imaging and depth. Vocal reproduction is especially good. Being rear vented the bass response remains tight and clean into the lower 50 Hz range. The Encores are perfect as mains in a high end 2.0 or 2.1 system or as mains for HT use. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have about these speakers.

I agree these are easily worth that much if not a bit more.  I own a pair and know first hand how great they are.

Having said that, you should consider building the larger X-SLS.  It takes the design to the next level.

  The X-SLS would indeed take the design to the next higher level. The problem is that with the other speakers that I currently have I don't have room for either the X-LS Encores or a pair of X-SLS. If it wasn't for that I would just keep them, but since I don't they have to go. Thanks anyway for your suggestion.
