I know, I know ... V-Caps or Duelands, any value up to .1uF

But what others have you tried and liked?

Obviously not in the same league as the above bespoke capacitors, the Vishay Roederstein MKP1837 polypropylene metallized film caps, spanning .01 -.10 uf in 5mm lead pitch. with up to 160 Vdc ratings are really quite spiffy. Perfect for bypassing a 5mm pitch MKT polyester line level input or crossover cap. Desolder the larger MKT, insert the MKP1837 in the through holes and solder the short leads on the MKT to the MKP leads on the bottom of the board. A substantial improvement for a buck, and where there is no room for a larger 'la de dah' cap, sometimes the only reasonable recourse.

Been very pleased with the Sonicap Platinums as bypass caps in the high pass filter of my c/o's

Have also heard lots of  folks  like them as coupling caps

I've used the following myself:

- Russian teflons (very nice, open and transparent, but they have some grain and a bit of forwardness to them). Inexpensive.
- Sonicap Gen II - they are smooth but don't quite have the air and transparency of the teflons. Inexpensive
- Relcap RT's - also transparent but more forward sounding than I prefer
- V-Cap teflons - very nice and open and beautify, but terribly expensive
- Dueland Alexandria's - these are the nicest bypass cap's I have heard. They do it all. Unfortunately Partscoinnexion is out of stock and there is no other distributor (yet).
- Sonicap Platinums - I have these as couopling caps in my preamp. They don't need a bypass. More expensive than I want for an added bypass cap.

Was wondering how the Mundorf EVO Aluminum + Oil might sound. Very affordable in smaller values. Anyone have any experience with them?
