With the sloped wood paneled ceiling, I don't think this room is so awful.  I would position the speakers on the wall with the 3 bay window, 2-3 ft out from the wall, and 2-3 ft from the side walls.  Move the single listening chair so it faces the speakers.  Move your tv closer to the doorway, and your sofa closer to the kitchen. A pair of stand mounted bass traps in the corners, and a pair of panels at the first reflection point, and you're in business.
