RepostVMPS RM-2 Speakers - (Kenosha, WI) $1000http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649122780-vmps_rm2_speakers/"I have a set of RM2s for sale. They have the light oak finish with black faces and black cloth grills. They are in excellent condition. These speakers have the FST ribbon tweeters, Neo Panel midrange, 12” Carbon Fiber cone woofer and a 12” down firing passive radiator. Two sets of binding posts allow for Bi-wiring or Bi-amping and include L pads to adjust treble and midrange output. Since the passing of Brian Cheney, VMPS has gone out of business and these speakers are no longer available but the last list price for a set like this was over $3,000.SpecificationsBass- 30cm (12") woven carbon fiber, 30cm (12") Passive RadiatorMid:- two rectangular 10 x 20 cm (4 x 8") Neo ribbons, 280 Hz - 6.9 kHzTreble:- FST, 6.9kHz - 30kHzImpedance & Sensitivity:- 4 Ohm (3.6 min.) 91 dB/1W/1mPower handling: - 300 W rms / 4 Ohms, 20 W min.Frequency response: - 22 Hz - 25 kHz +0/-3dBDimensions & Weight:- 114H x 38W x 41Dcm, 55kg (45"H x 15"W x 16"D, 120 lbs)Output levels and distortion:- max. 1% THD fullrange/1 W, max. 112+ dB SPL / 1 mI have 5 sets of VMPS speakers plus a LRC and a Larger Sub. The only reason for this sale is to downsize my living room system from a 5.1 to a 2.1 system.Speakers are too big and too heavy to ship so local pickup only. I can deliver these speakers in the Milwaukee/Chicago area with upfront payment and if you cover the gas costs. $1,000I also have a VMPS LRC (Large Ribbon Center) for sale in a different post (I didn't see a LRC in a 2nd post. This 'may' have sold?)."

WOW - This is a 1st...!VMPS Ribbon Dipole Surround-Super quality surround sound audio - (Seattle, Washington) $800.00 OBhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/331684323929?rmvSB=true"Fantastic pair of surround sound speakers that use the hybrid, ribbon and diaphragm technologies in such a way to produce smooth and super-realistic sound across the entire spectrum. These ultra-high fidelity dipole speakers are designed for the back-surround speakers in 7.1 setups but can just as well serve as the 5.1 surround speakers. New purchase price : Ribbon Dipole Surround --- $1,800.00 pairRead this review of same technology in main towers speakers from VMPS.http://www.highfidelityreview.com/vmps-tower-ii-se.htmlFor the all-important rear and surround channels, which in Dolby Digital carry a full-range signal, we have developed the VMPS Ribbon Dipole Surround. VMPS Home Theater is compatible with DTS, Dolby Digital, Sony and Pro Logic encoding systems; if you have a separate processor, or an A/V receiver which allows you to choose mode, we recommend settings which process the signal the least. For a complete A/V system, start with the best main speakers you can afford. Add the center channel, then the Subwoofer, and finally the surrounds.SpecificationsBass: - 16 cm (6") WCF Megawoofer bass, front reflex loaded Mid: - two rectangular 10 x 20 cm (4 x 8") Neo ribbons, 280 Hz - 6.9 kHzTreble: - 2x FST, 6.9kHz - 30kHzImpedance & Sensitivity: - 8 Ohm (5.6 min.) 90 dB/1W/1mPower handling: - 150W rms / 4 Ohms, 20 W min.Frequency response: - 42 Hz - 25 kHz +0/-3dBDimensions & Weight: - 61H x 32W x 33D cm, 20 kg (24"H x 12,5"W x 13"D, 44 lbs)Output levels and distortion: - max. 1% THD fullrange / 1W, max. 110+ dB SPL/1mFinishes: - standard lite oak, dark oak. Are there any new circular ribbon tweeters left for sale? His RM2 L/S had blown tweeters according to Ebay.
VMPS RM-1 speakers - (Santa Rosa, CA) $750 http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/ele/5212821230.html"Modified RM-1 towers in excellent condition. Comes with 2 extra planar midrange units for future repairs. Biampable, adjustable mid and tweeter levels. Incredible sound and awesome bass. Had the stock woofers replaced with expensive Peerless units and had the system re-tuned by Mike at Soundscape (speaker designer). Bought for $650 used (great deal at the time) and spent $700 modifying properly. I have 12 pairs of speakers total (all kinds) and need to thin the herd. These are the only ones of real value and need the money for kids college."
